When she laughs I find myself lost in an unknown world.

Puzzled, bewildered…she takes me back to the mystery of my youth. I watch her toss her head back, abandon her inhibitions and throw herself entirely into her laugh, rumbling first in her belly and helplessly exploding in her mouth.

I make an attempt to imagine a piece of me so entirely free.
It escapes me, untouchable, just beyond my reach. But I dream…

She laughs and everything around her laughs.
The sun, the trees, the clouds…her bright and beautiful cackle affects any passer by. Untouched by the forebodings of a sullen world she bursts in to total joy.

If I could bottle her joy, that contagious and delightful and completely honest belly laugh I would sprinkle it across the earth and dust the stars in the sky.

And

Everything would change.

The emergence of ME.

In the dark seas of my unconscious lie the stories of old, beneath the waves of past discontents hidden fears plague and haunt my soul.

Above the horizon the light shines and I am awakened.

I am.

Who I say I am.

Dark or light, Trapped or free, Lost or found…it is all up to me.

Do I dive deep into the waters and bathe myself, emerged in the hollows of the past…

or…… swim madly towards the light?

In the path of our lighted sorrows

we are shadows etched in form.

Timeless beyond concept

and delivered from harm

When time asks us to let

something go

We do so hesitantly,

with pause

In these shadows of our time here

We may always ask if its enough

Did we tell our tale

Did we leave our legacy

Did we cross with no regret

Did we leave behind a path of love?

Imagination… the lost art of creation.

Although my journey lies unknown before me
and my faith is called upon in spades
in spite of uninvited fear and angst
I find myself now trusting deeper in the things I cannot see.

In the mystery…

in the possible…

in the path yet taken…

in the moments yet imagined…

For it is this power I hold that ignites my inner light.

The power of my imagination
to dream the impossible into the possible.
to fathom the un-imaginable into the imaginable.

This power lies inside of me and you and all of humanity
the power to imagine what is yet to be.

Some will imagine failure, destruction and painful ends

Some will fail to imagine and they will remain lost in apathy

But some…perhaps you and me….will imagine something more…

Imagine what is yet to be…

USE YOUR POWERS FOR GOOD!

I turn to the wisdom of a me that is more

a higher self that sees with the eyes of truth

an enlightened self that trusts and loves
openly.

a future me with brighter shores
with beliefs of freedom
and open doors.

I turn to these facets of me
to trust
the mysteries revealed
within the portals of my mind…

I return with faith
freedom
and possibility
to live
to love
to be…

Loneliness is a dis-ease of the heart.
It suffocates the love that would otherwise
be filled with laughter, joy and celebration.
A heart wants to express the divinity of life
Sipping from the cup of pleasure and
unraveling the gifts of life and love that await
with infinite and unbounded joy.

And yet, with all that is available
loneliness happens still
I can feel isolated from the world
separated from love feeling empty and alone
It happens when I am by myself
and contemplating my longings.

And even more tragic,
the greatest sadness I know
of the stories in my book of love
are the times when I am lonely
sitting next to my beloved.

The distance like a great abyss
lies still between the sheets of pleasure
weighing heavy in the air, suffocating love.
Loneliness that captures the breath
terminating the words of love
and filling the space with regret.

To journey through the waves of life
and navigate these stormy seas
partnership and friendship
provide a guiding light
love becomes the vessel
and intimacy the map
to calm and restful seas.

Loneliness, whether solo traveling
or roaming lost within a crowd
bleeds the heart of
its potential
and scars the way to love.

I pray to find a better way.

What does it mean….to be enlightened?
It seems metaphor is as much as we can understand
To bathe in the light of the sun
to have it quench our skin with passionate fire.
To bask in the light of a summers full moon
and touch love somehow…
these metaphors reveal
within their divine exchange of light…mysteries of a transcendent primordial sea.

Somewhere between these waves of love
We meet our soul within the light
We touch the untouchable
We speak the ineffable
We surrender trusting someone more
and we are changed.

Community, a quest for oneness.

It burns as a passion
deep in a place only my soul understands.
A yearning, a quest, a pursuit of connection.

It seems as I look out there into my world
There is no shortage of opportunity here.
To reach, to touch another, to connect in heart…

I tell myself that I am connected to all things.
That you and I are one
and no separation exists
except in my imagination.

My imagination is pretty powerful
This I admit to be true.
Sometimes in the sea of bodies
I feel alone and lonely too.

I recoil from the connections
and resist to join the flow
of ever moving bodies
for fear of where they may go.

My life a reflection of futures past.

What unfolds from the mystery
Yields that which is me.
Ever changing
Ever evolving
through tracks of time.

What lies within has been sculpted
With courage
With faith
With love

What transcends the pain of the past
Emerges as light useful
for new seasons
new moments inspired
and once again I am changed.
